Who are you with?

Standard consumer broadband has low upload speeds as we don't really need it. Business broadband offers much better upload bandwidth as there is much more of a demand for it.

I'm with o2's access broadband (because I live in the middle of nowhere) and I get about 6.5mbps during the day, but that drops to about 0.4mbps from about 5pm-3am.

Unfortunately, I work until 5:30pm, so I always have really rubbish speeds. I would leave o2, as this is a well documented problem, but I am outside of the 30 day trial period.
