Default Question about old laptop & Internet

My daughter has an 8 year old dell laptop she still uses to go on line, it has to have a cable plugged into it. We want to know if it can be made wireless, if so what would you suggest.

You can buy USB wireless adapters that should work well. They aren't too expensive, and are generally better than using a PCMIA card wireless adapter. Good brands are belkin, d-link and netgear.
