the only people who need 8 gb of ram are scientists that need to perform MASSIVE equations. but they probably have supercomputers to do that.

make sure they have the same latency, or else ull have to configure the settings in the BIOS to the slower latency settings so that both rams are capable of the leatency speed

a 32 bit ops can only recognize a bit above 3 gb, so theres no point to getting more than that unless u have a 64 bit ops

OMG I HAD THAT SAME PROBLEM. if u have vista like me then this is what you do. you have to delete hl2 and steam and redownlaod everything i know it sux but it worked for me.
