When replacing RAM on a laptop it’s important to make sure that you’re wearing a wrist strap so you are grounded. To do this one way to do it is to loosen the screw on the laptop and tighten it down with a small piece of bare wire. Then you can attach the wrist strap to the bare wire which will ground you to the laptop. Also be careful when handling laptop RAM make sure that you insert the RAM carefully.
