For building my new computer, i was originally thinking of a MSI K9N SLI plat motherboard and a amd 4000+ cpu, but i keep hearing how vastly superior Intel is and i believe it. So could someone suggest a good mobo/cpu that offers similar peformace and at a similar price?

Now i usually recommend P35 chipset motherboards, but they are about $30 more, the Asus P5N-E is still excellent though and much better then anything AMD motherboards have to offer.

And i know the 4000 has a higher clock speed ect, don't pay any attention to that, the Core 2 Duo E2160 is better.
