I have downloaded Divx decoder.
I still have problem to play my DVD movies and music videos on LITEON 20X DVD PLAYER.

When I insert a DVD, the Window media player (v.11 down loaded, upgrade from v.9.0 which was in the Windows XP sp-2 yesterday)
says " problem with copy protection between DVD driver, decoder, and video card. Install updated driver for video card"

This video card I installed is brand new came with the new eVGA 640 P2 N829 A3 GeForce8800GTS.

The DVD programs are all bought from lecensed store, not copies. And they had no problem with my other computers or DVD stand alone machines.

What should I do?
Buy another DVD player? Re-install Video card drive?

I still get the message on Windows media player-11

"Problem with copy protection between driver. decoder and card......"
error message no.COOD1163.

I have downloaded driver again from eVGA site. ( there was no 'Update' category, so I downloaded whole thing again and re-booted).

Still my DVD is not working....
Should I give-up?

Thanks for your response, Jamie.
Yesterday, I have downloaded 30 days trial of NVIDIA PURE VIDEO DECODER

Now. I get VIDEO! (video with DVD disc playing-movie etc.)
But, I lost sound again.
Sound card and driver have been removed altogether before the new decoder.
Now I am using mother board built-in sound.

I can hear music OK, but can not hear dialog (at times hear weak, distorted sound).

What is your diagnosis?
DECORDER? MOTHER BOARD? VIDEO CARD?
