I will be building a new computer shortly and do not plan to buy new hard drives as my current ones are relatively new. My old computer has 3 SATA hard drives. I use one (C:) for the operating system and programs, while the other 2 drives are used for data, videos, and pictures only.
I plan to reinstall Windows XP media edition 2005 as my operating system on my new computer and reinstall all my programs on my old C: drive.
My question: If I do this, will I be able to just install my 2 "data drives" from my old computer and have the new system see and recognize all the files (videos, pics, data) on these drives? Or is it likely that these data drives will have to be reformatted in order to function on my new computer?
