memory upgrade

hi i have finally found the memory for my comp but i was was gonna put my 2x 512mb 3200 units in another comp which has 1x 256mb 2700 and i think 2700 is max the cheap piece of s**t can hold but would the 3200 units work or would it just be worse

They would work, but they would only run at 2700 speeds.
