I want OPTICAL connecton from Creative Sound Blast X-Fi Xtreme Gamer to my Onkyo 910 RECEIVER.
I have usual Toslink optical cable which is squre shaped. But the jack of the
X-Fi side is round shape (like headphone jack), and not accepting squre shape optical cable.
How other people connect? Do I need an adapter? I am puzzled.
(after internet surfing) I found that this is SPDIF - means that this is CO-AXIAL cable, not TOSLINK cable.
Am I right?
One more thing.........
Do I have to DISABLE (on BIOS) the mother-board sound device to use sound blast X-Fi card? (currently I am using built-in sound).
If so, how do I get in to the BIOS???
