Build for Video Editing and Photoshop work?

I'm interested in building a computer primarily for HD video editing and photoshop work. I was wondering if the recommended components (intel based not AMD) for building a pc (updated 12/20/07) would be adequate? I need a pretty powerful machine to do this type of work, and budget is not my primary concern at this point.
