Why don't you just go directly to EVGA.com and buy it there. It's in stock and is $269.99. I just saw it at 10:27pm EST 12/25/07.

thats the same one on newegg. i was gonna get the superclocked one that was only 289.99 on newegg and 279.99 on evga.com. is it worth the ten extra bucks???

If its the same product, save 10 dollars and buy it from EVGA, unless newegg is offering a free game to go with it or something like that.

i think i worded that wrong. what i mean was i was going to buy the 8800gt superclocked vs the regular 8800gt. but they seem to have taken the superclocked 8800gt off newegg cuz it magically disappeared from my wish list also. so on evga.com the 8800gt is 269.99 and the 8800gt superclocked is 279.99. what is the difference? which one should i get???

Begin rant...

This whole 8800 thing is driving me nuts. They unviel this new super-duper 8800GT that blows away the 8800GTS 640 and 320, and is much cheaper. Suddenly demand is greater than supply, and people are hording the things and trying to sell them on ebay for profit as if the supply chain has collapsed. Then they introduce a 8800GTS 512 that's nearly on par with the 8800GTX. Why not call that a 8900GT 512? Not to mention the overheating problems with the 8800GT and a new revised edition of that card. (of which I just received today). I just don't understand the marketing strategy going on here. Do you?

...end of rant.

OK, so if I were buying a card today, I would seriously consider this
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130312

Its available, its on sale, and it comes with Crysis.

If you're set on the 8800GT, newegg only has the vanilla available as of today. Same goes for EVGA, only the vanilla.
