Today, my rare off-day. With high expectations, I started assembling my 'supercom'. This is my first ever attempt (with fear).

My fear became reality.
I could not find socket of DVD on MOBO. There is a HDD drive socket, and a floppy disc socket.

Mother Board is Asus M2N32-sli Wireless edition
DVD os Lighton Light Scribe. (both cited in Rob's Article)

I am stucked. Please help me.

DVD drives are optical drives. Most are what are called UMD/IDE devices. The port for these drives should be labeled IDE 1 and 2 or main IDE and secondary. I don't know which for your particular board. It should be fairly easy to find, because the ports are quite wide *24 pin connector i think, but don't quote me on that*

If that doesn't help, then wait for one of the experts to answer your question cause I'm really new to this whole thing myself.

good luck,

-James

The optical drive will either be IDE (long plug often with a ribbon cable) or SATA (small black plug and a red cable)

If the drive is SATA it plugs into where your Harddrives are plugged into, if it is IDE it plugs into a long Blue slot on your motherboard as Illustrated in the picture below.

Its crap picture but it gets the point across.
