hi everyone didnt know where to post this so ill try here first

what im looking to do is a general upgrade of my comp i dont really know much about comps i have changes sound cards vid cards and memory but thats about it

i curently have

AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3000+ Model 12
mother board is apperently ASUS K8V-MX
i have 1gb 2 x 512 pc3200 mem at the mo
cpu speed 2000 mhz
just got new graphics card, Point Of View 8400GS 256MB GDDR2 DVI VGA HDCP ready PCI-E Graphics Card

my comp can handle 2 gb mem apperently and up 2 pc4000
was gonna buy this http://www.ebuyer.com/product/64178

but i was wondering what else i can do to beef it up

Your motherboard only supports a maximum of PC3200 memory.

The 8400GT should not work in your computer, the motherboard you listed only has an AGP slot not PCI-E, so you you must have listed a diff motherboard if it is working.

thanks for your help wish i knew that b4 just got graphics card today and saw it didn't fit :mad: so im gonna need to try something else any suggestions on what to do is mother board cheap to replace id prob pay some1 to do it but is it some thing that could be done in an hour as its usually hourly rate or any thing else worth replacing

Whereabouts are you?

Hmm send the GPU back, theres no need to replace the motherboard really, you can just get an AGP GPU, do you game or anything?

im in high wycombe nr London i do some gaming and dvd editing
