I am in the process of researching components for a build. I will wait a few weeks until the release of Intel's Penryns to see how prices shake out on them and prices on what is now available as top of the line components. Maybe able to pick up some good prices after the release.

Anyway. I was looking at thermal compound comparisons and agree that Arctic products are best. My question is about their Ceramique vs Arctic Silver 5.
It appears that the higher viscosity of the Ceramique may be more stable over the long term than AS 5. In other words, will be a better chioce for heating and cooling cycles over a long time period.

I plan on using this computer for a long time without upgrading the CPU. Probably skipping an upgrade cycle or two. By then it will be getting worn out.
The computer will be used for computations and charting.

What do you think?
