what would be the best antivirus software?

presently i am using avast anti virus .Is it good to use? If no ,which one would you suggest me to use?

Avast an AVG are both superb, keep using that, i don't think anything is better :)

I have AVG on one computer, and Avast on another. I agree with Jamie, they both work great.

Norton, Symantec, Mcafee, et al, are all bloatware.
