help with audio hardware

i have had my hard drive cleaned and updated and now all of a sudden its telling me that i dont have any audio hardware!

You've had your hard drive cleaned and updated. You mean you've reformatted your hard drive and done a clean install of Windows XP? Have you re-installed your drivers, such as your motherboard chipset drivers?

yeah I had the same problem and I found my driver discs and ran the installation process and viola they everything worked again!
