Hey guys,

Just finished putting a new system together:
K9N SLI Platinum MoBO
AMD 64 X2 5600+
2gb Crucial Ballistix
WD 250 HDD
EVGA GeForce 7600GT
Sonata III case with 500w PSU

Question: Windows is recognizing my HD as a MSD with icon in the bottom right hand corner just as if it was a USB hard drive. Is this normal or do I need to install new drivers? Its working fine otherwise.

Cool, thanks, this is the first SATA hard drive I've used so I wasn't sure.

I had that problem too...just follow these directions to remove the icon......

Click Start > Run and type:
regedit
Press ENTER
· Navigate to the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\nvata
· Right-click in the right hand pane and choose New > DWORD
· Create a new DWORD value:
DisableRemovable
· Right-click on this new value and choose Modify and change the value to 1
· Close Regedit
· Restart Windows

I wouldn't recommend editing registry values if your not clued up.
