Wow, looks great.

What about your Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, and Operating System?

The 900 case is excellent. Plenty of room, it cools great, and its quiet. Look around though, you can find it cheaper.

Take a look at the new 8800GTS 512 card that just came out. It's a better performer and is slightly cheaper.

I could be wrong, but I seem to remember reading bad reviews on Rosewill power supplies.

That's pretty expensive ram you got there too. You can find ram much cheaper that will perform just as well. Check out Corsair XMS2.

Change the Graphics card to an 8800GT, $289.99.

Much better performer than the 8800GTS and it cost $70 less.

Change the Power supply to a Corsair HX520w, this costs $129.99 but you you need a good foundation of power, the rosewill is not very good at all.

Change the memory to Corsair XMS2, its better and its only $47 when you take off the rebate, saving of $153.

If you are not overclocking, stick with the stock cooling fan that comes with the CPU, they are excellent. If you are overclocking change the the cooler to a Arctic Freezer 7 pro, its cheaper than the Zalman and performs the same if not better and its not known to have problems like the Zalman.

Everything else is good.

I welcome any questions you have but please don't ask things like, 'are you sure these parts are better even though they are cheaper' ect, because they are, so there is no need to worry ;)

Ricky: Monitor: i have a Dell UltraSharp 2405FPW and a HP LP2465 already for my monitors.

Keyboard and Mouse I’m going to look around Fry’s to see what feels right. But something cordless, full size and normal.

Operating System I have XP to load on it now, but will get vista in about a year

Jamie: thanks for the input. i'm going to make the changes you suggest. i'm going to run everything as is for a while then if i need it look into over-clocking.

I doubt you will have to overclock, the computer will be a beast.

Good luck with the build, if you get stuck let us know.

i will order everything once the video card is back in stock, but prolly wont get everything going till after x-mas.

right now I've been running off a laptop in a docking station for home use and haven't had a proper desktop in about 3 years.

i know I'll need some help with the bios and getting everything dialed in.

thank you for your time and help
