Hi
Your website helped me build a PC than spend 40% more and get a PC with lesser spec. It also gave me insight to the ways the the retail PCs are specified. I was going to get a HP A6140.me desktop. (Intel E6550;G33 chipset;2GB DDR2 PC5300 RAM, 500GB HDD. NVIDIA GeForce 8600GTS-512MB GPU etc. etc.).
Finally made a PC at 40% less cost but Intel E6750;G33 chipset;2GB DDR2PC6400 RAM;1 x 80GB SATA and 1 x 500GB SATA HDD etc. I did not add a GPU now as I am not into gaming or HD TVs. Even with the same GPU as the HP one I could end up at only 75% the cost of that HP PC. And ofcourse with 3 year warranty of the Mobo and CPU.
The research and excercise of building a PC on my own also boosted my confidence in helping others buy or build a PC. Wish I learnt earlier so that I could present my Mom with a better PC than what she bought or atleast saved her some money with the same spec.
