monitor question

I bought my new monitor and it has DVI-D and I was wondering how I could hook it up to my pc using that connection, or how I can use that port?

Just plug it directly into your graphics card.

so do I have to buy a separate cable for DVI-D because there wasn't one in the box?

If your monitor has a DVI output it should have a DVI cable, did it come with a VGA cable?

yea, it came with a regular vga cable, the blue one
