:D I thought this would be an intresting post so here it is.

Ok so vegetable oil will putrify within a couple of weeks, but mineral oil will not.

What are the advantages of miner oil cooling vs. air and liquid cooling. What is the effiency of mineral oil cooling compared to air and liquid?

Any links/info/discussions on this subject would be awesome. Peace:D

I saw a computer once where someone had submerged their entire computer in oil. No case, just a big vat of oil.

Of course, it doesn't conduct electricity but is a fantastic insulator, so you could get some serious overclocking out of it, but there really is no need.

You may be able to YouTube the video, but there was one awhile back of a Russian guy making "chips" with his PC. He had the motherboard and processor submerged in vegetable oil and overclocked so it would get the oil boiling, then he made french fries with it. Pretty wild, although I imagine not good for the hardware.
