monitor question

I was looking at some dell monitors and I saw one that was fairly good for my budget:

but I was wondering if this monitor is better, because its cheaper and wider:

or if anyone has any other suggestions for better monitors that are around $200 and 19 inches or bigger,

The second one is better because of the higher 2000:1 contrast ratio and a higher resolution of 1680x1050. Both have the same 5 ms respose time, so the second one is best by far. BUT! monitors dont look as crisp if they're displaying a resolution lower than their native one(in this case:1680x1050) so you would want a video card that can display that resolution. pretty much all of them can unless ur comps 8 years old.
