Hmmm for a gaming rig?

I'll price your rig for you, just don't expect it to take on the world, if you want the best your looking at over a grand easy.

I'll see what i can come up with and get back to you.

P.s what games do you do you play?

Ok here we go.

Intel E6750 CPU
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115029

This is one of the most popular Gaming CPU's around even for very high end machines.

Asus P5KC Motherboard
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131188

Awesome motherboard, supports DDR2 and DDR3 memory for ultimate upgradeabilty, this motherboard would not look out of place even in the most high end system available.

Corsair XMS2 Memory 2GB
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145034

This probably the most commonly used Memory in gaming computers today, it has no competition especially as it has a $40 rebate.

X1950 Pro GPU
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131055

AWESOME graphics card, this is one of the best mid range cards available, this will play anything out now including Crysis on med settings, thats not shabby considering no system out now can run Crysis at the highest settings. This also comes with a $40 rebate.

Including rebates this comes to $501.96

You will still need to add a Harddrive, Optical drive, case and PSU so you may go slightly over budget.

I am looking out for a case and PSU at the moment so i'll add to this when i have.

What size HD do you want?

HAHAHAHAHAHA, enough said.

Yes tis true no system can run Crysis maxed out.

The system i suggested is top draw, i'll add a case and HD to the list in a bit.

For the setup i suggested, i would go for at least 450w, it needs to be pretty decent and have a bit of quality, you need to spend a bit of money for them as well, quality and reliablilty is expensive.

This case is superb, Raidmax make excellent cases, it comes with a 500w PSU bundled with it, this should be ok for your build, but it is something i would seriously consider upgrading when the funds allow it.
