When I turn the computer on it turns off about a minute later. The fans all turn on. The monitor works and everything and has a signal. I can see that blue screen list with all the selections and all. I don't hear any sounds. So how can I find out what the problem is?

Sounds like your CPU might be overheating. Try booting into the BIOS and monitoring the temperatures until it turns off.

Yeah, it is overheating and fast. What should I do?

Checking the cooler is on properly i.e all the pins pushed in would be a good idea.

What are your temps?

Well it is fixed. I took the motherboard out and ended up finding that a small wire was under the heatsink. I moved the wire away and put it back on and it stays on fine now with temperatures in the 20s. Before it reached 90 before the safety shut it down.

I found another problem though and that is one of the pins is stuck where I cannot take the heatsink out if I want too. I guess I will deal with that when I need to upgrade.

To remove the intel heatsink, you need to twist the pins around, and they should pop out.
