Everything seems to be running fine (fans are turning, devices making normal noises) but i hooked the monitor up to it just to see if everything worked, and nothing really happened. When I turned the monitor on nothing happened....it just said it was going into powersave mode. Does anyone know what the source of the problem might be.
Thanks

double check that your video card is installed completely.

The GPU would be the first thing to check, check whether it is pushed in/seated properly.
If your using a SATA harddrive try plugging it into another port and check all your connections.

I checked everything. I have a PowerColor HD 2600 XT 512MB GDDR3 video card, do i have to hook up the monitor directly to the video card...I used a VGA connection to the mobo.

I'm not positive on how motherboards work that have onboard graphics. I'm pretty much still a newb. My monitor is hooked up directly to the gpu.
You might as well try hooking it up directly to the gpu, and seeing if it works.:)

Plug the monitor directly into the GPU.
