Hey all,
I could do it without a book, but thought it would help.
Rob lulu is a weird company, never heard of them, but why is shipping like 13 bucks for a paperback book?
I was just wondering.
But I know it will be a good book.
Just shipping took my by suprise.

I filled out all the order forms for the book but stopped cold when it came to nearly $13.00 to ship. I guess I will have to think about this for a while. I don't mind paying a reasonable price for anything I want but by the same token I don't wish to get the shaft.
It should be about $4.30 to send it Media Mail. What is your zip code?

Now I feel like a dumb A** that got burned bad.
Guess I learnt the hard way.
I checked using zip code 98027 and the cost to ship it Media Mail is $4.30. Media Mail is a special rate for books. Once shipped, it takes about 5 business days to arrive.

$13 for postage isn't too bad considering you are getting an excellent, very detailed book, with colour illustrations...

My book didn't have color photos. Also give yourself plenty of time because it took a long time from processing payment to actual shipping.

My last question - Is this book only for those who intend to build AMD or is it just as helpful for Intel builds?
(I must add that this forum is probably the best I have come across on any subject matter. The interest, questions, and the rapid response time for those knowledgeable persons who give of their experience are incredible)

it was good for either build. Rob's book and the mobo's user manual were key in my build.
