Hi all,

I've been come across mysuperpc quite long time ago but still haven't build my own pc. Recently, my hand got some itchy to wanna try those new high demand games like Crysis and COH and more.......I don't really know what to choose between AMD and Intel for a good gaming system. So i've do some searching and found Real Gaming Challenge Rematch: Intel vs. AMD that created from extremetech. And the result is Intel was the winner. I feel that i want to try those component used by them which are:

Processor:Core 2 Duo E6600 (2.4GHz)
Mobo:ASUS P5B Deluxe (Intel P965 chipset)
Video:XFX GeForce 7900GT(256MB)
Ram:2 x 1GB Corsiar XMS2 6400 (CAS 4-4-4-12)

I'm not sure is these setting can outperform or stable if compare to the component that highlighted in mysuperpc:

Processor:AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ AM2 (dual-core)
Motherboard:ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe Wireless Edition
Video:eVGA Geforce 8800 GTS 320MB DDR3 PCI-E
Ram:Crucial 2048MB (2GB) PC8500 DDR2 (about 3.25GB usable)

But i think it'll become a better rig if we make use the best component from them, yet still reliable, stable and upgradeable. All i need is the advice from you guys so that i can start to put my hand over it. And the budget is below $1000. I hope my english is not confusing enough to you guys. Thanks in advance.

Ok, Intel wins the gaming scene hands down.

The E6750 is better and cheaper than the E6600.

The 7900GT will struggle to play Crysis, go for an 8800GT, its only costs a bit more and is a 100 times better.

Change the motherboard to one with a P35 chipset.
