SATA Optical Drives

Anyone recommend good SATA DVD/ROM and DVD burner drives. Also, is there a restriction on length of SATA cable? I have external drive and I'd like to get a cable about 5-6" long. It came with a cable about 3' long and when I pull out my case the cable disconnects. Thanks, Ralph

Nah, SATA cables come in loads of different lengths, so it should be no problem finding one a bit longer.

As for manufactures, Lite-On are a good make, as well as LG, Phillips, Samsung, Sony etc.
