The Antec 900 is a great case, but it gathers a lot of dust.

AMD no longer run the market for for CPU's, Intel do.

The Asus P5N-E SLi motherboard is 10 times better and $40 cheaper, add that $40 to the $160 it costs to buy an AMD 6000 and you can buy an E6750 which runs rings around the 6000 for $200, already by changing those two components you have made your computer a hell of a lot better, and you haven't had to spend any more money.

Asus M2N32 and AMD 6000 = $334.98
Asus P5N-E and Intel core 2 duo E6750 = $319.98

On the 29th of this month Nvidia is releasing a new card, the 8800GT, and it will have 512mb of memory and will be much better than the 8800GTS and it will be the same price, so you should sit tight for another week on the GPU front.

Corsair XMS2 C4 is better than Crucial and it comes with a $40 rebate which makes it $60 on newegg.

PSU is very good can't fault that.

Monitor, Optical drive and HD are all good.

thanks for the info. any advice on the operating system??? will that new video card be available on newegg next month?? also my budget is 1500 and so far i am at 1233 and still need the OS, keyboard, mouse, and speakers, and a couple gaming controllers. any suggestions?? my eyes are hurting from all this research and stuf i ahave been looking at? also if i buy all that stuff will that be all i need or will i need anything else??

Windows XP, Vista is crap at the moment.

Yep that card will be available on newegg at the end of this month or at least it should be.

Logitech X-530 5.1 speakers are pretty cheap and they are superb.

Keyboard and mouse all down to preference.

I use an Xbox 360 controller on my PC for games such as GTA san andreas or racing games, but for strategy and FPS then keyboard and mouse is the best.

That will be all you need, well, apart from some games lol :D

I plug my one into a USB port.

Microsoft made it so the controller could be used on the PC as well, so its basically plug and play although i am not sure about the wireless controller.

There is supposed to be a dongle for the wireless controller so you can use the xbox 360 controller on the pc. Just as Jamie said though, the wired one just plugs right into the usb port for pc use.

It doesn't use bluetooth technology though. The ps3 controller does.

Which processor did you decide on? Intel's stock cooler is very good, so you won't need a cooler unless you decide to overclock the CPU.

As for gaming mice, you can't go wrong with Razer. I have their Deathadder mouse myself, and it is fantastic. :D

Stock cooler will be fine unless you decide to go for a Quad core :)
