Mr. Rob, I was very impressed on you site, in fact I've spent about a half of a day devoted to reading threw the nuances. Heres my question: I have a older dell, about 2004 that is sitting in my room, I was thinking of instead of remaking an entire computer from scratch, using that case from the dell to do What i need. Such as a new mobo for a great graphics card, memory and a new hard drive, everything else works in the computer, I wanted to know could I use the old case to put the new item's in? second of all, Its hard finding information on a set up that really works for other people, and because I am not completely compluter inclined, I wanted to know what YOU would think would be a great setup, used for playin new games like team fortress 2 and other high end games. Thankyou for your time, and this excellent web site!- jj

Thanks for the good words!

This page has my thoughts on using an existing computer case:

A great setup for playing today's top tiers would be My Super PC as described on my home page. One thing you'll want for sure for playing high-end games is a top-tier video card, like the GeForce 8800 GTS I'm using.

But the first link above has some thoughts on how you could save some money and still handle most of today's games well enough.

Rob you may want to sticky this thread, its an update on two new cards Nvidia are bringing out and will benefit a lot of gamers who are thinking about using the 8800GTS in their next builds.
