Can someone help me understand why the wireless MB is about $30 less than the Premium Vista MB? These MBs seem to be identical with same chipset yet the one without wireless is $30 more. Is the wireless MB a much better deal or what?

Not really, although the wireless version has a lot of problems to do with the wireless, i would rather have the other version even if it is albeit more expensive.

They are AMD motherboards though, if your thinking about a new build, go for Intel, at the moment they are light years ahead with the C2D.

Thanks for the quick response. That's exactly what I was thinking about wireless board. I'll give Intel cd2 some thought but I've used AMD cpu's in past and have had no problems. I've been told that amd x2 cpu is better than Intel cd2 cpu because it is pure duo while Intel is not? Is there any truth to that?

Sorry mate, whoever told you that, must have been smoking pot, a while back, Intel did make, ''fake'' so to speak dual core CPU's, but they were Pentiums. The Core 2 Duo's are faster and a lot better than AMD.

I am a big AMD fan myself, but because i run gaming rigs i had to jump ship to Intel, because their new CPU's are better than anything AMD has to offer at the moment.

No worries, just google Core 2 duo vs AMD X2 or something like that, and you should get a lot of info.

One more thing Jamie. What would you reccomend for an Intel cd2 cpu. When I planned to use AMD I was looking at x2 6000+. What would be equivalent Intel cpu? Also, I'm using a Sony 32" Bravia HD TV as my monitor. Resolution is 1366x768 and has HDMI input along with VGA input. I'm currently using VGA input but would like to consider using HDMI or DVI to HDMI. Are there such Video cards available and would I benefit from using 8800 chipset with either 320 or 640mb. Currently looking at eVGA 8800 gts card. I'm currently in process of purchasing my components. So far I have ordered Cooler Master RC-190 case, Corsair hx620 PS and Corsair ddr2 memory(2gb kit). Thanks again for your help.

The equivilant CPU to the to 6000 is the E6750, and to be honest it runs rings around it, not only for overclockability but performance on the whole.

Can you cancel the order for the PSU? the Corsair HX520 is all you would need and you can save yourself money, but if you can't the HX620 is very good as well.

My monitor has a higher res than your TV lol and its only 19'' :D

If you don't mind holding out till the 29th you can get the 8800GT, 512mb of video memory and its going to be the same price as the 8800GTS and much better.

And yes you can get HDMI to VGA cables.
