Hello,

I have just finished assembling a new PC and have yet to try and turn it on. MAJOR ANXIETY!!! The new PC consists of an Antec Performance TX1050B with 500W power supply; 3.5floppy, 160 gig WD SATA hard drive; Intel DG965WH mother board with integrated video; Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4ghz processor; 2Gb A-Data DDR2-800 memory and a Plextor DVD burner (E-IDE).

I built my old one in May of 2003 and I’d like to copy my old drive information to the new SATA drive from the old E-IDE drive. How do I do this? Can I take the old one out, set it as the “slave” (on the ribbon with the E-IDE DVD) and make the transfer that way? What do I have to do to the new drive to prepare it? Will the info on the old drive make the BIOS on the new MB go crazy? ANXIETY, ANXIETY, ANXIETY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks!!

Jay
