Just recieved all the parts for my new pc from Newegg. But I made one mistake (hopefully my last). I bought the wrong CPU fan. I purchased the Zalman CNPS9500 AM2 but I have an intel CPU, socket 775. Can I still use the AM2 fan or will I be better off reordering?

I'm pretty sure it is not compatible. It would say on the package that it works for LGA775 if it were compatible.

alright, was afraid you would say that, guess will have to wait a few more days to get the right one. Thankyou for the fast reply.

I would be careful with the Zalmans if i were you mate, some people have experienced warped contact plates and so have i.

If its not too late, i highly recommend (very highly) the arctic cooling freezer 7 pro. Its a lot cheaper and a lot better than most if not all equivalants.

Trust me it is very good, the only coolers that can better it are the tuniq tower and thermalrite 120 and they are the most expensiver air coolers you can get.

Here in the UK that cooler is £20 but over in the US its only $20

Don't be fooled by the price, i have had the Zalman and my Uncle has one now, for their big name and expensive prices they don't offer much (unless you get water cooling :D )

Save yourself the extra $30 and get the arctic cooling one, then you can buy bioshock with $$$$ you saved :D
