This is probably a simple question, but I'd rather ask it than be sorry. Anyway, I have a modular power supply that has a few permanent power cords that aren't modular such as the 24-pin main power connector, an 8-pin +12V connector, as well as a 8-pin with detachable 2-pin PCI-E connector.
The question I have is; Can I use this 8-pin with detachable 2-pin PCI-E connector to connect to my Ge 8800 GTS video card? This card came with a PCI-E connector that has what looks like a molex connector on the other end.
I believe the power supply's PCI-E connector is for a video card but I want to make sure.

Thanks
Anthony

Yes Ant it should be fine, but can i have the make of your psu to make sure.

Some psu's are buggers.
