Hello,
I am new to the forum but not new at building a desktop computer. I have a total of 4 builds under my belt now and all have gone well. My last project however was about 8-9 years ago and was a nice ASUS motherboard and intel chip.

My question now is on diagnosing a computer failure.

I have had several blue screens on this last build for the past few years and assumed it was more or less an older computer dealing with modern software. Few weeks ago my screen dimmed and went dark but I could still here a youtube video in background. I forced a reboot and while BIOS was loading the screen also dimmed and then went blank before even getting to Windows 7 Pro bootup. I replaced the Nvidia graphics card with a slightly newer model but this did not solve the problem. Any ideas besides the video card?

I would like to salvage this computer if I can for another year due to other expenses (like buying a laptop to replace my old laptop). This desktop uses dual screens and I really did build the system to last for awhile for business.

Thanks!
