Hi! I've never built a computer from scratch but I am looking for a solid build that would accomplish what I need done. I'm not a super computer guy but I do a lot of work, no more gaming :( I've done a bit of research and want to build something in the $1500-$2000 range that will be able to run autocad, revit, solidworks, etc, for renderings and files of that sort. I do minimal video editing but I do run dual monitors. Any idea builds or suggestions on how I should go about building my first computer is greatly appreciated. I don't have a problem putting it together I just need some suggestions on what the best build would be! Here is kinda what I was thinking:

Operating System: Windows = 10? $100
Processor: intel i5 or i7 ($240 vs $340)
Motherboard: Asus sabertooth (INTEL) or AUS ROG Crosshair (AMD) ( $180 vs. $210 )
Memory: 32 GB ($300)
Graphics card (for 2 monitors) = $300
Power Supply = $100 ?
Case = $100 ?
Solid State Dive (250 or 500 gb?) = $300
Built in card reader: (USB, SD, MicoSD, etc. ) = $50
Wired + Wireless networking = $75?
Water / Liquid Cooling = $100
Budget: +/- $1600
Other:
(2) 24” Monitors = $400?
Server Storage = $400 backup, file revisions, linked through gdrive to save there.
+ battery backup.

Thank you,

Preston

I think you're breakdown and budget look about right. If you every do find time to play video games, this PC would be able to do it! Let us know how this all turns out for you.
