First time build, please help! :)

Hello!! This will be my first ever build! I'm pretty excited but i'm also not sure if i picked out good parts or not and whether they are all compatible. I did some research to try and help me but i'm still pretty unsure. This pc will be use to browse the internet and play skyrim, guild wars 2, and defiance. All the help i can get is greatly appreciated! I'm very new to all of this, i actually just barely started getting into the build your own stuff recently (i fix my video game consoles now) and i'm not satisfied with the big box store computers, so i decided to build my own. Please let me know what you think of the parts and if there are any parts you would change. Thank you so much!!

I dont think i need a sound card, but would i get better sound from my video games if i did have one?

Looks good. I don't have an issue with the B85 board, but you do lose some RAID options as well as a couple of USB and SATA ports. Not a really big deal , unless you're a power user or looking for a high end gaming rig.
I'd suggest a little bit beefier video card. Maybe a 7870 or a GTX660.
I know it's a bit pricey, but you'd see a tremendous performance boost by going with an SSD as your primary drive.
Oh, and onboard sound works great. No need for a discrete sound card. jmo

Another poster on a different site said everything looks good but i want to get as many opinions as possible before i start. I am not sure i have the budget money for an SSD card at the moment, its one of those things where its either going to be the more expensive graphics card or the SSD.

Why did you go back to an Ivy Bridge system?
I'd stay with Haswell like you had to begin with.

I had switched because i have this up on several forums and everyone who has been looking at the specs has given bad reviews of the haswell mentioning the chipsets have been having issues. So far you're the only one that has said not to go with the ivy bridge system, its confusing with so many random people giving you advice.

I am looking for a late date article on the Haswell situation. Here is a July 22 Haswell review which does not mention the problem, but it is good from a review viewpoint.

I spent the day on the Haswell problem. At 5:22 pm today, I finished a post on this forum, 'Build your own PC' for oldfogy about the problem and the delay in shipping newer versions of Haswell with a fix.
