New SSD and Windows takes YEARRRRRRRSSS to start

Hey guys,
It is me once again coming only when something is wrong lol unfortunately. Well I just got a new SSD and installed it the operating system is Windows 7 64-bit. I have 2 other drives also, 1TB and 650gigg. I am almost positive the 1TB is bad as I keep getting some error about redudancies and if I try to allocate it it says the disk is not in service or something of that sort.

Anyways I could care less about the broken drive I at least have 1 good one to go with the SSD. My main issue is sometimes windows takes freaking 10 mins to start up.. (this is no joke 10 MINS!!)
So for whatever reason my SSD did the opposite of what I thought it would do (Start up windows in like 10-15 secs.)
Anyone have any ideas?
The 1st time I installed windows on it the time was off and shown as 2014 which screwed everything up. So I just repartitioned and I am starting all over today. Time is correct and all that good stuff. But still the same result.VERY SLOWWWWW..

Change topics: On your dead drive, was it 'dead' before you started messing with the SSD? If so I suggest you disconnect it until you have the 10 minute problem fixed. I think your 10 minute delay is because Win 7 is continually re booting or being delayed because of some problem with the SSD.

What did you do about the original Win 7 installation on one of the drives. Did you remove it or what? Is it completely 'cleaned off' the drive?

I am not much help on this. I hope the Tom's Hardware list I referred you to will help. Also, nothing wrong with calling Intel. Good luck. Let us know what you finally did to get it going!

To be complete in what I meant to say, 'There is nothing wrong with calling Intel Technical Support or Microsoft Technical Support.' Problems are generally 'simple'; however, in general, both Intel and Microsoft Tech support folks are far more knowledgeable and specific than 'the users on the local level' ! !

Update (3 years later! lol ) I found the issue guys! lol I had just delt with the slow restarts over the years and never figured it out. Okay so when I started having these issues I had installed an additional 1TB drive that died in like 2 days. After that I never bothered uninstalling it (till tonight). I uninstalled the defective disc and all my problems are solved. My PC starts up windows ready to go in 30-45 seconds. Before it was taking sometimes 5-10 mins just to get to bios screen. Also the computer would never restart. Now I have started / restarted many many times and all my issues are resolved. Please don't ask me why it took me 3 years to remove the defective drive lol Lazy to say the least. Anyways I hope this one day helps someone if they run into this issue.
