hey everyone, i've been reading around and doing a little research and i'm interested in building a gaming computer for an affordable price...

my price range is about $900-1500

This is what I've got set up so far from Newegg.com and I wanted to know if I should upgrade or downgrade anything, if I'm missing something, and you're opinion on the 'upgrade ability' of this computer.

As for now the price sits @ $1,323.87

The E6750 is actually cheaper but faster, strange i no but who cares, go for the E6750 instead.

Apart from that i cannot fault any other parts, i suggest most of the parts you chose anyway ;)

Great mobo, great Ram, i have seen the Sonata 3 and its looks nice.

One thing though, to power an 8800GTS your going to need at least 600W of a good brand name PSU.

So i would have a look at the Antec 900 gaming case and buy a PSU as well. Check some other threads for my recommendations on good power supplies, can't be asked to list them all for the 100th time lol :D

i got the 6750, its fast fast :) and if your gonna use the 8800, it doesnt work great on an hdtv without a workaround.

I'd recommend a SATA DVD-RW drive, simply because then you have less cables clogging up your case - I have no IDE devices now, and it makes a big difference.

I am with WM on the SATA Drive, it doesn't matter though, could always buy a rounded cable :D
