I have a GeForce GTX 650 that I need to hook up to the power supply. The 650 has a 6-pin slot for the cord, but the best cord I hae for it goes from 8-pins to a 6-pin and a 2-pin. I'm guessing that I can just put the 6-pin in and forget about the 2-pin, but I want to make sure. I have read the manuals and tried to Google it, but couldn't find anything that helps, so I am asking here. The cord itself says that it is suppose to plug into the PCI-E, which makes me think my guess is right.

Please help, thanks.

According to the GE Force Specs at this url -- http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop/geforce-gtx-650/specifications --, the specs do agree with you that a single 6 pin is all that is required. The 6 pin plug provides up to 75 watts of power.
