I've noticed where the Crucial mSATA SSD would fail when updating the firmware in systems having UEFI Bios. This is reported under Crucial Support for these drives and also under feedback on the Newegg product page for the 512 mb drive. The Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UDH5 motherboard uses UEFI BIOS. Can someone help me? I'm ready to place my order. Thanks.

When you first boot the system, you can check to see what BIOS version the motherboard is using. If a newer one is available, you can upgrade using Gigabytes website.
Look through this for a little more information.

Looks like most of the problems have by updating the firmware and BIOS. Since I'm not a gamer or overclocker, I plan to leave out the video card and hard drive and go with the 512 SSD. My question, is there a big risk with the SSD and BIOS, and will this configuration be be asking too much of the SSD?
