Linux / Windows Parallel

I'm new to building PC's but would like to build one with this structure if it's possible. 2 SSD's one with a windows build, the other with a linux, and have a third standard drive just for media files which both could access depending on which OS I choose to load up. Is this possible and if so is there any special precautions I should take before doing this? Thanks in advance.

It's my understanding that some Sandy Bridge-E motherboards won't allow a Linux OS install. You may want to google that to confirm or check you motherboard manufacturer to see what operating systems are compatible.
