View Full Version : New Build, Idea-Reality (Engineers and Gamers, and I guess Engineering Gamers)

Okay, so I conceptualized my perfect computer for civil engineering, architectural design, virtual system emulating, and simulation. In reality, a computer that would perform these functions would cost nnearly $1500 to buy, so I said o myself, "Why not buid it?"
I am in the process right now.

All my parts I have checked functionality and compatibility multiple times, and I primarily searched on Newegg (since i is just so easy to use)
The functionality of this combiation of parts will function best for engineering and simulation rigs; however, due to the nature of simulation software, I do believe this build will also perform well in gaming; however, it is not my primary nor seconadary purpose for this machine.

THIS BUILD COSTS A TOTAL OF $1139, WHICH IS $61 less than my original budget, although is $261 less than my maximum budget.

*Note that the case comes with a power supply, so you may wonder why I decided to buy a $90 power supply. The answer is that the power supplies in the cases are cheap and if not used delicately, they will break. Also, those power supplies will die in a power surge. My power supply is overkill, as it would survive a destroyed transformer that puts out twice the voltage it should normally (a problem in electric storms).
Also, I have not included any software with the pricing.
Any suggestions for the build is welcome, as I have yet to complete the purchasing phase which I will do 12 hours after posting this thread. (maybe 36 hours, I’m not sure)
