Need your opinions:
This will be a upgrade build for gaming using either the i5 Ivybridge or the i7 Sandybridge CPU's. I've read and heard that the i5 runs a little hotter than the i7 when OC'd, will run PCI 3.0 and the i7 PCI 2.0, but will the COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus be enough to keep it cool in case I do want to OC it a little?
Leaning toward the i5 and get what I want now and not burn more $$ for the upgrade later on.

i5 3500K 3.4gb Ivybridge
COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus
ASRock P67 EXTREME 4 GEN3 LGA P67
SAPPHIRERadeon HD 7850 OC 2GB
Need help in choosing memory, any ideas?

TIA

Not familiar with a i5-3500k. Did you mean i5-3570k instead? If so, that's an excellent choice.
This might be a better choice for a motherboard.

The Hyper 212 is hard to beat.
As for memory, I would suggest 8gb (2x4gb) of DDR3-1600. I prefer G.Skill, but there are several other brands that are just as good or better.
Hope that helps get you started.

Yes, it's the 3570k and not the 3500k

Thanks for the recommendation on the MB and the ram, I'll take a peak at it, at least it's a starting point.

thanks again
