Hi guys, I'm new here, and I want to build my own pc. The problem is I am getting confused and I don't want to order the wrong things, can someone please look at these and tell me if they will work together? thanks
-Motherboard: http://www.ebuyer.com/279549-asrock-h61m-vs-socket-1155-vga-5-1-channel-audio-matx-motherboard-h61m-vs
-Processor:http://www.amazon.co.uk/Intel-Processor-Socket-Sandy-Bridge/dp/B005JBPR9O/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1340047617&sr=8-1
-Graphics card: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Asus-GeForce-TI-DirectCu-Graphics/dp/B004RHPN2M/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1340050121&sr=8-1
-Hard drive: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-HD103SJ-internal-SATAII-7200RPM/dp/B002MQC0P8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1340047403&sr=8-1
-RAM: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003OSTDPI/ref=noref?ie=UTF8&psc=1&s=computers
-Disk drive: http://www.ebuyer.com/342873-samsung-sh-222bb-sata-dvd-optical-drive-oem-sh-222bb-bebe
could you just have a quick check and see if it's all fine?
The rest (which isn't a lot) I am sure will work together, thank you for the help! :)

Hello regheneration, welcome to the forums. Sorry for the late response.
Maybe, one incompatible component depending on your intent. Go to this url for the motherboard specs: http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=H61M-VS&cat=Specifications. Note that the motherboard 'Supports Intel® K-Series CPU' . Your choice of cpu does not have a 'K' suffix and therefore, does not have an 'unlocked multiplier' for overclocking. The Sandy Bridge i5 2500k is your most likely 'close' choice. However, your cpu choice is 'probably' still supported by the mobo choice but you cannot overclock but you can use the Turboboost feature of the processor.
I want to check the RAM out, little later today; I will edit this post.

Thank you for the answer and the help,
I'm afraid I don't currently have the money for the i5 2500k, however it does say '- Supports 3rd and 2nd Generation Intel® Core™ i7 / i5 / i3 in LGA1155 Package' which (I am pretty sure) means it is compatible with the i5 2320. Correct me if I'm wrong though.
The other thing I am not certain about is the components i check, do i check if it goes with the mother board only or am I supposed to check if they go together?
In other words if my RAM's specs say 'DDR3' do i have to look on the processor's specs to see if it is compatible or just on the motherboard's specs.

Your comment "....it is compatible with the i5 2320. " I am reasonably sure it is correct; I do not think you will find it in writing other than what you said in your post. Provided you have mobo and cpu compatibility then your RAM is dependent on mobo compatibility. The RAM is dependent on both the cpu and the mobo, but the mobo QVL list should (to be safe) confirm that your RAM is compatible with the mobo and therefore the cpu (mobo supports the i5 intel cpus).
Regards your RAM. Here is a URL for the company. Please take a look at it and also, try to find another website for them that shows they manufacture the RAM, otherwise, if you cannot find proof that they manufacture the RAM, you have to assume it is a private label of some kind.
Go to the AsRock home page, this url: http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?model=h61m-vs Next, upper left corner of AsRock Home, scroll down to Memory Support List, click on Memory Support List and it will automatically take you to this url: http://www.asrock.com/mb/memory.asp?Model=H61M-VS which is titled 'Memory Support List'. There are probably 250 separate memory listings you can choose from. Just find what you need off this list at the price you are willing to spend.
Your motherboard is a DUAL channel motherboard. Select a DDR3 1600 2 x 4 GB (2 sticks, 4 GB each. ) Any questions, just ask.

Allright thanks, after thinking about it i chose to go with: http://www.ebuyer.com/272176-kingston-8gb-2x4gb-ddr3-1600mhz-hyperx-blu-memory-kit-khx1600c9d3b1k2-8gx
Mainly because it wasn't too expensive and I have heard good things of Kingston.
Now about where I buy it from, is the Novatech website (url: http://www.novatech.co.uk) legit? Because I have found a cheaper hard drive (http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/components/harddrives-internal/sata500gbto1tb/st1000dl002.html) and the same case but cheaper.
One last question, what is the difference between this: http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/components/nvidiageforcegraphicscards/nvidiagtx550tifermiseries/engtx550tidi1gd5.html
and this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Asus-GeForce-TI-DirectCu-Graphics/dp/B004RHPN2M/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1340050121&sr=8-1
They look different but have the same specs more or less, will it affect a lot for 10 pounds less?
thanks again, reghen

To be safe, you need to pick your RAM off the AsRock Memory Support List. On the ebuyer page you show, the Kingston Ram page has a small cat # in the lower left corner and that number is not on the AsRock List as far as I can tell. Please go to the AsRock Memory Support List and pick a Kinston RAM off that list. If the number you picked is on the AsRock list and I just missed it, tell me how far down the list, the correct number is beginning from the start of the DDR3 1600 Ghz on the list.
I cannot tell you anything about Novatech, never heard of them.

Maybe 30 minutes later:
This URL is for Asus United Kingdom and specifically for the 550 Ti video cards; I believe both of what you were looking at are on this page. Check it out and see if it helps. Here is the url: http://uk.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/NVIDIA_Series/GF_GTX_550_Ti

Oh right ok, this one then: http://www.ebuyer.com/195372-kingston-8gb-ddr3-1600mhz-hyperx-xmp-memory-khx1600c9d3k2-8gx
I have also found out that Novatech are legit and have are very good.

Your last post, today 2:49 pm, Ram looks fine according to AsRock Memory support list!!
----------------
When you order all your components, also order a wrist strap for static control. During every aspect of the assembly process when you are handling or are anywhere near the components and the case, always use the wrist strap.
Even when the build is finished and you want to stick a hand inside the case for any reason, unplug the power cord first as well as the other cables going to the case. Then clip your wrist strap to the case after you have unplugged the power cord and the other cables (including monitor cable) to the case. Make yourself a sign, large letters -- UNPLUG POWER CABLE AND ALL OTHER CABLES BEFORE OPENING CASE ! ! -- This is purely a 'Electric shock hazard Safety Issue'
Secondly, when you pick up the cpu , motherboard or each of the Ram sticks, only handle them with your fingertips and only touch the thin side edges of each board. DO NOT TOUCH THE COMPONENT SIDE AND UNDERNEATH SIDE OF ANY OF THE CIRCUIT BOARDS INCL THE CPU AT ANY TIME !!! ONLY HANDLE BY THE 'THIN' EDGES OF THE BOARDS ! ! !
Also, I assume you will follow Rob Williams 'My Super PC Assembly Instructions' -- Online version and/or the book.

Allright cheers, how about the Hard drive? I had a look and it all seems fine but I don't want to order the wrong thing. Here is the link: http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/components/harddrives-internal/sata500gbto1tb/st1000dl002.html
The rest seems fine to me, thank you for all the help

Seagate Barracuda are well known names. I only recommend Western Digital Caviar Black Drives. My drive is WD Black and almost five years old. Western Digital has three levels. Best is Black, next Blue, then Green -- may have Blue and Green reversed.
Seagate logically has different quality levels; you could go to their website and figure it out. But you should always buy the top quality level for Hard Drives even for higher cost. They are mechanical and at some point will fail -- best model gives best odds of long life!!!

Ok I only just seen the post about wrist band and I will look at them now thank you.
About the Hard Drive I will look into a better version now and then purchase all the components tomorrow. As for the guide 'My Super PC Assembly Instructions' I will definitely use.
Thanks for all the help I now feel way more confident and knowledgeable with computers.
