Hope this is the right place to post this thread, this actually came to light on the second boot. Am building from the online instructions. I have a seagate 500MB SATA HD installed along with the IDE LG DVD as the Master. The DVD is not being recognized, I have no floppy and would prefer it this way. Thinking it might be a bad Drive I tried installing a samsung DVD with the same results (or lack there of). Nothing shows in the bios for this drive. Then installed bopth drives as master and slave (changed jumper on slave accordingly) and ... nothing.

I reconnected the IDE cable to both the DVD drive and the mother board that's all good, everything is getting power .... I need help.

Hope someone is out there.

Try booting without the HD - go straight to the BIOS and see if the drive is recognised.

Another possibility is a faulty cable or IDE port. Try a different cable; if this doesn't work, it may be that you need to return your motherboard.
