Hi There,
I am upgrading my processor. Can anyone tell me how I can tell if I need to update/flash my bios, or if there are any other compatibility issues I need to check before installing the new processor?
fyi i'm going from an
Intel E8400 @ 3.00GHz, 2 cores
to an
Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q9550 2.83GHz 1333MHz 12 MB LGA775 EM64T CPU
Bios = Award Software International, inc. F6, 11/14/2008
SMBIOS version = 2.4
OS = Win 7 pro, 64 bit
Mobo = Gigabyte EP45-UD3P
