Looks like there is no way for a member to directly contact another member of these forums. I appreciate the privacy issue involved, but wonder whether the moderators could assist when it seems useful.

Right now I'd love to be able to contact member JaneDoe308 who solved a problem on a build identical to mine by replacing mysuperpc recommended Crucial memory with Kingston based on advice from her local computer repair shop. Would like to know the specific replacement details. JaneDoe has solved her problem so is unlikely to return to the forum. I'm guessing that a moderator has access to the member email address and could ask her to return and comment.

Given the respect that members have for this forum, and the spirit of mutual assistance, I would think they would willingly respond.

I have access to Jane Doe's email, but I'll need to check with Rob to make sure it's ok to contact forum members.

No, absolutely not.
