Hi, this is my first time building a computer so I'd really appreciate any help you can offer on compatibility, gear selection, etc. My goal is to stay around $700-800 all-in (not including monitor/windows). This would be for gaming (SWTOR) as well as some music production.

Please note that several of the pieces are part of a bundled deal on NewEgg, which with my limited knowledge seems like a good deal for the quality of gear it includes:

I think it looks like an excellent build.

Pretty good build. If you have the room in your budget, check out the EVGA 560 Ti 448 cores edition. It packs more power and provides close to 570 performance for a fraction of the cost. I went from the same card you selected to the 448 core version and the difference is noticeable. In Battlefield 3 (most demanding game currently out there), I went from 50 FPS to about 70+ FPS. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130738&Tpk=560%20ti%20ftw

Good luck!

Sweet, thank you both very much for your input. That graphics card looks great but it's a little out of my price range.

I really appreciate the tips. Happy holidays guys!
