Hello.... I'm new to the forum and new to building.. A little about myself- I'm currently the Network\Security manager for a decent sized company with multiple offices around the globe. My area of expertise lies in configuring and maintaining servers and security appliances as well as monitoring. I have always been big on buying the latest and greatest as far as the jobsite goes. However, I decided I would build my own PC from scratch, the way I wanted it to be, and also give it the ability to expand as technology grows. Below is a list of what I have. Most of it was delivered in the last week with a couple components still floating around the country. My questions are as follows:

1. Is this going to be decent as far as gaming and HD movies go?
2. What am I missing that I should order asap?

* A side note- I'm 100% AMD :p

Okay, so here is what I am working with:

I was going to go with a decent liquid cooler, but I need to source parts to mod a kit.

I plan on running the 3 Caviars in RAID 10

So that's what I have thus far. Any suggestions on additional Items I will need? I know it's only a 700w PS, but I figured it should be enough. Should I upgrade to an 850w or am I good?

Welcome to the forums. Glad to have you.

Not sure how you're going to get 32gb of ram in there with this kit.

That's a pretty low end card. Even using that in Crossfire, you'd probably be better with a single HD 6950.

If you plan to run Crossfire, as well as 3 hard drives, a sound card, and 2 optical drives, you may want to consider an 850 watt psu, just for the extra insurance.

I would get the 6950 since you stated you like getting the "latest and greatest". A single 6950 will run Battlefield 3 on Ultra settings, meaning you'll be able to run about any game that is out right now! I agree with going with an 850W PSU as well for all those components.

Seems like you know what you are doing and everything looks great. The only other thing I can think of is maybe an SSD and a monitor (it wasn't listed).

Good luck!
